MEET MARCY
​
Marcy is partner and co-founder of Heyer Gutierrez, LLP. Marcy has worked in public education her entire career, spanning over thirty years. She started her career as a high school teacher, and transitioned to the legal field in the year 2000, where she has worked exclusively on behalf of school districts and other education entities, advocating for public schools. Marcy earned her undergraduate degree from University of California, Davis, and earned her teaching credential at California State University, Sacramento. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorgeSchool of Law, and is an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Sacramento. Marcy is the mother of two daughters, who are both attending college. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, traveling, and listening to her favorite podcasts.
